Fright Month: Session 9

Fright attained.

You already know that abandoned insane asylums creep me out. Of course that's the setting for this movie. A five-man construction crew is hired to clean the place up, and then . . .

. . . things start to happen.

The first 40 minutes were a bit slow. The next half hour started getting interesting. But the last thirty minutes? Oh my goodness. Let's just say I'm trying to keep my back to the wall.

I may be sleeping with the lights on tonight.

  1. I'm so with you. I saw this about 2 weeks ago and was definitely freaked out. I read online that they originally had a homeless lady witness all the crimes and kill the killer (no spoilers) at the end, but test audiences thought that was suppose to be the girl in the session. Interesting.

  2. That is interesting! If they'd kept that ending, I totally would have thought the same thing as the test audiences. Only makes sense, right? They said at the beginning that lots of old residents used to come back as squatters. So unless the girl in the sessions died (I already can't remember!!) why couldn't the homeless lady be her?

Anyway--the movie was entirely effective without the homeless lady, and it seems you agree. ;)
