RED

This movie was awesome. It's like Ocean's 11, right down to the soundtrack, except with spies instead of thieves. Well, retired spies. And, regrettably, without Brad Pitt. But Bruce Willis is a pretty good replacement. I can't believe Demi Moore didn't want to be married to him anymore. Ashton Kutcher just doesn't compare.

Wanna get pancakes?

  1. Agreed. The cast was amazing. I want to be Helen Mirren when I grow up.

  2. Guess I better put it on my queue! Wasn't sure I'd like it.

  3. Yeah, Trisha, she does make retirement look quite fun! And you're right, the entire cast is great. No weak spots.

Mandy--I think you'll like it! Eric too. It's a popcorn movie, so don't expect deep thoughts--and I didn't put it on the Best Movies Ever list--but it's a lot of fun. In fact I'm pretty sure I was grinning like an idiot throughout most of it.

  4. Finally watched this last night. I have to admit I put it to the top of my queue, but then when it came wasn't in a big hurry to watch it.

I did enjoy it. It was cute and fun and I did laugh a few times mostly at John Malkovich.

Now that I re-read your review I didn't even notice any music in it at all. I think you are more aware of music in movies than I am.

Bruce Willis will do in a pinch, but he's not top 10 material. I think I would have liked the romance between him and the girl expounded a bit more! :)

  5. Haha, yeah, Bruce Willis is definitely a pinch hitter. But I would still pick him over Ashton Kutcher!

  6. Well, the break p of Bruce and Demi was due to HIS philandering ways, so I guess Ashton is more faithful.

  7. Oh, I didn't realize that (or I forgot). Now BW has gone down a few notches in my book.
