I don't think I ever saw a preview for it. I remember I first heard about it on imdb.com (you know how they always have a still shot and synopsis of four or five new movies at the top of their homepage) and I guess whatever they said about it caught my interest. But, yeah, "bad all around" is a good description. It was pretty weak.
I don't intend to give complete reviews of the movies I watch. Movie reviews are all over the Internet and I see no reason to add to those numbers. I plan to use this forum mainly to express what stands out to me about the movies that I watch... even if what stands out is that nothing stands out. Not only that, but I don't often have that much to say about movies, especially because I am an escapist movie-watcher who believes the main purpose of a movie is entertainment. I am certainly not looking for inanity in the movies I watch, but if I am looking for education or thought-provoking material, I turn to literature rather than cinema. But I am a netflix subscriber. When I first signed up I figured once I watched the 100 or so movies I had lined up in my queue, I would cancel my subscription. Here it is five years later and I've never whittled my queue down below 80 movies because I keep adding to the list. I have a feeling I may never cancel my netflix subscription.
What possessed you to even rent this? It looked bad all around to me. Maybe, I might have thought twice with Adrien Brody in it, but I think not.
