Panic Room

I kind of meant for this to be one of my Fright Month movies, but I couldn't manage to squeeze it in October. As it turns out, it was more of a thriller than a scary movie, anyway. It was unfortunately predictable, too. There were a couple of tense moments, and it's not like it was boring, but there just wasn't much to it. I prefer thrillers that keep me guessing and wondering and questioning, and there wasn't much of that here. At least now I've seen it and I can mark it off my list.

  1. I really didn't have any intention of watching this one, but Eric had it on today during our snow day. At one point I asked him if it was supposed to be a comedy. It got pretty silly at points, but I did watch the whole thing. I think the most entertang part was Jared Leto in his corn rows. Mark it off the list. ;)

I was thinking we need a worst movies ever to go with our best movies ever. There are some real stinkers out there. Today I saw Solaris was on and I had a flashback to watching that, at the theater no less, thinking wow I wish I could get those couple hours of my life back.

  2. THAT is a good idea!! I bet our Worst Movies Ever list would be even longer than our Best Movies Ever one.

    I haven't seen Solaris. I'm guessing you wouldn't recommend it? ;)

  4. I would skip Solaris, unless you want to be bored for two hours and then annoyed at the crappy ending. I already have 4 or 5 movies that pop right to mind as really JUST PLAIN BAD!

And there are some movies that are not great, but somehow still entertain us. These would be the ones that the whole first half you are waiting for something to happen. And the second half you either turn it off or begrudgingly watch since you've gotten so far.

  5. My only problem is I will probably only be able to pick from the movies I've blogged about. I'm not sure if I can remember any horrible movies I watched before I started my movie blog. I may have blocked them.
